From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the sheer power of storms. Growing up in Southeast Queensland, some of my fondest memories are of those late-night storms that shook the house with thunder and lightning. That early fascination turned into a lifelong passion for storm chasing, and it eventually blended with my technical and IT media background.
Over the years, I’ve tracked some of the region’s most significant weather events—from the Gap storm and the Harrisville storm to the Halloween hail storm, the Christmas tornado, and even the rare Stanthorpe snow event. Drawing on my technical background, I’ve turned this passion into a way to help the community stay safe. Through SEQWeather, I share real-time weather insights and use my IT and media skills to keep everyone informed and prepared for whatever comes our way.
When I was very young, I was petrified of storms. During big thunderstorms I was hiding and freaking out if someone from the family went outside. But as I grew older, I got my first GoPro and thought, I want to see what a storm would look like in a sped up video moving towards the house. After that first video I got, I was hooked on filming storms.
As I grew up and got my license, I did not hesitate to start chasing storms. Studying the clouds, capturing amazing photos and videos, learning how storms form and die, everything fascinated me so much. 10 years after getting my license now, I have chased some of the most amazing, destructive, and stunning weather events throughout Southeast QLD, and into Northern NSW, reporting to weather pages to inform the public of danger, as well as sharing my experience with everything. In the future, I definitely hope to expand my horizons and chase further.
Ever since I saw my first very close lightning strike around 1990, I became obsessed with storms and weather in general. This coupled with my interest in photography, led me to want to capture images of everything weather related. From severe storms and lightning, to amazing sunrises/sunsets.. experiencing nature’s raw power and calm conditions is just so spectacular.
When I was younger, I was always afraid of storms. That changed in 2023 when I unexpectedly experienced a supercell, And then a cyclone in 2025. Those events completely shifted my perspective—it felt as though I had fallen in love with the power of nature. Since then, I have completed a BOM, Storm Spotter and SKYWARN course. My passion now lies in all aspects of weather, with a particular focus on severe storms such as supercells and tornadoes. I am currently developing my skills in storm chasing, with the goal of contributing to public safety by providing timely information and warnings about hazardous conditions. While I also have an interest in storm photography, my primary focus is on severe weather research and chasing, driven by a desire to help people better prepare for and understand these powerful natural events.

Dr. Moose was no ordinary cat—at least, not since he discovered the “truth” about the skies. Wrapped in a jagged tinfoil hat and staring out with eyes glowing like storm-born lightning, he claimed to be the only one who could see the hidden patterns of weather manipulation. To most, he was a conspiracy theorist with whiskers, muttering about satellites and chemtrails between naps. But to those who listened, Dr. Moose spoke of machines that bent clouds, storms that obeyed secret masters, and a coming battle for control of the atmosphere itself. Whether prophet or mad scientist, his warning was clear: the weather was watching us—and only he could fight back.
